Location
The room could be more clean, a lot of dust and the ofuro area could use more cleaning. The woman clerk does not speak English and the other that does a LITTLE was neither helpful or polite. The night clerk guy speaks English and is very nice.

What was the highlight of APA Hotel Nishiazabu
I would go again, good value for money. I can live with the limitations, but perhaps not everybody
I was at the same hotel last year (2023), so obviously I was satisfied. In my view it great value for money, but, also, you get what you pay for. I probably would not go as a couple, rooms are very small. But just for myself, they had all I needed: small but good bathroom, comfortable bed, good light from outside in the high floor I stayed at. But you must keep in mind that space is scarce in Tokyo, and this hotel reflects this.
Although the staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel should make sure that there is in every shift at least one person comfortable with English. With a little bit of patience, and that occasional aid of a phone app, things always worked out in the end, but it could have been easier. Also, DO SKIP the hotel's breakfast which is remarkably poor. (I don't know why the hotel shows no interest in improving this.) There are good places to have breakfast a very short walking distance away.
